Reddeppagari Madhavi, born on August 29, 1974, is the Daughter-in-law of Andhra Pradesh's influential leader Shri Reddeppagari Rajagopal Reddy, having served as a minister five times Despite her academic background in MA, she acquired significant skills in the construction sector due to her family business.
Entry into Politics
Smt Reddappagari Madhavi, is the third child of Shri Ramasubbareddy, an Ex- Chief Engineer, and Lakshi of Kurnool district. In 1996, Madhavi married Reddeppagari Srinivasulu Reddy and became part of the influential Reddeppagari family, known for its political legacy. While nurturing her two children, Sriyanka Reddy and Shravan Raj Reddy, Madhavi supported her husband in the construction field. About 15 years ago, when Srinivasulu Reddy became active in politics, Madhavi took on the responsibilities of the construction sector, establishing a new trend and becoming a prominent figure.
Political Career and Leadership
Reddappagari Madhavi's involvement in politics deepened when she, alongside her husband, met TDP leader Chandrababu Naidu. Impressed by her foresight, communication skills, and determination to make a difference, Chandrababu Naidu appointed her as the in-charge of the Kadapa TDP constituency. She then handed over the construction sector responsibilities to her children and began actively engaging in Kadapa city. Madhavi's dedication to addressing the issues faced by the community, particularly the lack of basic amenities in the city's outskirts, resonated with the people.
Commitment to Public Welfare
Reddappagari Madhavi became a vocal advocate for the poor, questioning injustices and focusing solely on public welfare despite personal criticisms. Her dedication, determination, and commitment to serving the people of Kadapa led to her election as the first woman MLA of the Kadapa Assembly constituency. She continues to work tirelessly for the betterment of Kadapa, ensuring that the voices of her constituents are heard and their needs are met.
